Apple To Hold In-Store iTMS Event This Friday

by , 8:00 AM EST, November 25th, 2003

Do you know someone who you think would appreciate music as a holiday gift? If so, you may want to stop in at your local Apple Store this coming Friday. Apple will be holding an event featuring the iPod, iPod accessories, and iTunes Music Store related items. From Apple:

Someone you know loves music. That’s why you’ll want to kick off your holiday shopping at the Apple Store.

On Friday, November 28, we’ll be hosting an all-day shopping event designed especially for the music lovers on your list. Whether they use a Mac or Windows, you’ll find a scintillating array of gifts to fill their hearts with song — everything from iTunes Gift Certificates to audio accessories to the entire iPod family. Plus, we have a few surprises in store for you.

Need a little help finding the perfect gift? Come and try our interactive gift guide. No matter who you’re shopping for, the Apple Store has you covered.

You can find your nearest Apple Store at Apple's retail site.

The Mac Observer Spin:

Apple has found these in-store events to be quite popular. More importantly, the company has found that they bring in customers and lots of money. That said, we're interested to see how well it works for Apple to promote music, and not Macs, at this event. Note that Apple has already had one in-store iTMS event, but that was for the launching of the iTMS. Our guess is that it will prove popular once again. With the day after Thanksgiving being the busiest shipping day of the year, Apple has a guaranteed stream of passersby to entice into its stores.
