Apple Launches Holiday Ads

by , 9:20 AM EST, November 28th, 2006

Apple introduced three new Get a Mac ads on Tuesday that feature John Hogeman and Justin Long as PC and Mac. Rumors surfaced in early November that Justin Long wouldn't be involved in any more of the Apple commercials. A few days later, however, Mr. Long said that he was on his way to shoot a set of holiday commercials.

The Gift Exchange ad.

You can see the commercials, titled Gift Exchange, Sales Pitch and Meant for Work, on Apple's Get a Mac Web site.

The sales pitch one reminds me of that little movie that showcased what would happen if Microsoft tried their hands at iPod packaging. Very much like the MSFT mentality.

OTOH, the "Meant for Work" thing... does it reinforce many Windows-lovers' perception that Macs are toys?

Another completely meaningless post from the shrouds of anonymity - and a shouter too.

Criticise away - go for it - but try to actually say something.

John's last name is spelled "Hodgman".
