CocoaTech Updates Path Finder to v. 4.6

by , 4:30 PM EST, November 30th, 2006

Cocoatech announced an upgrade, version 4.6, to Path Finder on Thursday. Version 4.6 of the Mac OS X Finder replacement adds powerful tab sets, tabs that can be dragged, an updated Stuffit Engine, a new brushed metal look, and faster performance.

Path Finder is described as an "innovative file browser and manager with powerful tools to make you more productive on Mac OS X." Path Finder can be used as a complete replacement for the Mac OS X Finder.

Path Finder 4 includes features such as integrated file info and image previews -- including in-line previews of MS Word, HTML, text and graphics files, superuser mode built-in, multiple shelves, tabbed browsing, integrated file compression, an application launcher and integration with Spotlight. Path Finder is a universal binary.

Path Finder 4.6 is a free upgrade for all registered customers of Path Finder 4.0 or greater. A full version for new users is $34.95. The complete installer can be found here.

I love Path Finder.

Cocoatech gives you a 21-day trial.

PF is the kind of product that you don't think is that great after day one of use. But, after day ten, you are buying it because you can imagine Mac OS X without it. Then, you tell your business partner who goes through the exact same 10-day process.

Excellent support also.
